Who killed Craig Burke is the question most Vigil watchers are asking right now, the BBC thriller has grabbed viewers’ attention just like Line of Duty did earlier this year.

Set on HMS Vigil, a nuclear submarine off the coast of Scotland, the drama follows DCI Silva’s investigation into the death of a crew member who appears to be suicide.

Things are not what they appear to be and DCI Silva uncovers a conspiracy that has yet to be unraveled as the show airs every Sunday at 9 p.m. on BBC One – there are two more episodes left to catch.

Viewers already seem to be wary of HMS Vigil’s second in command, Mark Prentice, after admitting to punching Burke in episode two.

He’s played by Adam James, famous since his stint on Casualty, and other favorites like Holby City, Doctor Who and Silent Witness.

Eagle-eyed Vigil fans may also recognize Adam James’ wife from another classic British TV show – The Bill.

He is married to 39-year-old actress Victoria Shalet, whose other roles include PC Vickie Hilton in the BBC drama Doctors and Carrie Bergman in Jonathan Creek.

In 1995, she rose to fame in the BBC children’s series The Queen’s Nose before appearing in Blue Peter and Comic Relief.

However, it was just before meeting her husband Adam that she decided to turn her back on comedy and pursue a new career in therapy in 2012.

After missing out on a role in Holby City, she made the switch, but says acting was always important in building interest.
