Slipknot Rips ‘The Chapeltown Rag’ In New Music Video

0

On Thursday, February 17, Slipknot shared a video based on the performance of their latest single, last November’s hard-hitting metal anthem “The Chapeltown Rag.”

The new music video uses recent live footage from the band’s ever-exuberant gigs to highlight the sonic brutality of Slipknot’s signature track.

And it’s just the latest living chapter in Slipknot’s videography, a growing number of works often overseen by Slipknot’s percussionist, Shawn “clown” Crahan.

Fans had many different reactions to “Chapeltown Rag” when it first appeared last fall, apparently as a standalone single, although indications suggest it will end up on Slipknot’s next album. Listeners also had questions about the meaning of the song’s lyrics.

And that new Slipknot album is on the way shortly. This is the continuation of 2019 We are not your type. Corey Taylor, lead singer of Slipknot and founder of Stone Sour, will also be releasing a second solo album soon.

Meanwhile, the singer is planning Slipknot’s upcoming Knotfest tours with In This Moment, Jinjer, Cypress Hill and Ho99o9 on separate dates.

Taylor said, “Even with everything going on in the world right now, we’re still extremely excited to be back in the States, with two different and exciting packages.”

He added, “Whether it’s In This Moment and Jinjer, or Cypress and Ho99o9, we’re proud to bring our fans the epicenter of our music and art. Come celebrate with us and try to stay as safe as possible. that we will be.”
