The Guardia Civil of Granada will organize its last arms auction

Grenada’s Guardia Civil’s firearms response department will hold its last public arms auction in the province next week. This is due to the latest amendment to the Weapons Regulations, which removes this procurement procedure.

As stated in a press release from the force,

From now on, if the owner does not have his weapons by other means and they are deposited with the Intervention d’Armes, they will be destroyed after a period of one year. The only exception, in this case, will be when the weapon has a specific historical legacy that can be proven. It is envisaged that a public auction to dispose of this type of weapon will still be possible, although this is not confirmed.

A total of 886 different weapons will be on display

Between November 22 and 26, the 886 weapons auctioned will be on display every day from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. The main auction will then take place on November 29, using the closed envelope method.
